Aldair Dosmil is a self-taught visual artist who was born in the city of Morelia, Mexico. Dosmil's art revolves around the traditions and elements of Mexican folklore with very contemporary and colorful elements.
He began his career in the appropriation of urban spaces through murals in 2015. With a varied and eclectic style, he represents his iconic character "El Torito", a personal reinterpretation of the Torito de Petate dance, one of the most traditional emblems from his native Morelia.
Dosmil's work is the result of a fusion of ideas and references, where Chicago has become an inspiration for new elements to reimagine new settings and characters.
Aldair Dosmil has also collaborated with brands such as Chicago Bulls, Topo Chico, Willis Tower and, most recently, with Gente Fina for NYFW, 2024.
Dosmil's works are found in different private collections in Mexico and the United States. He has participated in several exhibitions and mural projects in cities such as CDMX, Denver, Miami, Chicago, among others.
